I’ve been looking at spicing up my regular green smoothie/ green juice routine lately, and I think I’ve nailed a pretty good one! This smoothie has so many delicious components and will wake you up first thing in the morning and get your body moving. It’s also a great lunch for all of you busy bodies out there trying to stay healthy but don’t have the time to make a 3 course meal. 🙂
It’s loaded with tons of healthy ingredients that will keep you going all day long; including Kale, which as we all know is an absolute superfood, loaded with protein, iron, fibre, and tons of micro nutrients. It also has the healing fruit pineapple. This sweet and juicy fruit has anti inflammatory properties and is loaded with vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. It is also rich in fibre. On top of it all, this fruit is low in fat and cholesterol. All the nutrients it contains promote good health. Finally, one of the best ingredients in this smoothie is it’s use of coconut oil. Coconut oil is absolutely amazing for you and is loaded with laurie acid which has anti bacterial and anti viral properties in it.
Ok enough chatting, let’s get down to business…and by business, I mean SMOOTHIES!! 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need!
3 Cups almond Milk
1 C Baby Spinach
1 C Kale
1/2 Avocado (pitted, peeled)
1 whole Frozen banana
1/2 C Frozen Pineapple
1/4 C Frozen Mango
2 TBSP Coconut oil (it can be solid or liquid)
Put all ingredients into your Blendtec or Vitamix Blender and blend for about 45 seconds or until smooth!
